A method to predict the broadband pressure fluctuations presented in this paper includes the following stages: cavity length is calculated in various cross-sections along the radius at different blade location around the axis, the cavity volumes are plotted and the spectral analysis of cavity time histories is performed, the pressure fluctuation spectrum is determined. Non-uniformity effect shows itself indirectly as variations in cavity dynamics. The cavity volume is presented in calculations as a spherical model. Broadband noise reduction is achieved by: optimum shape of the blade, and smooth velocity variations in the propeller disk. Optimum propeller would be the one with the most slow and smooth variation of cavity volumes on blades in the propeller rotation providing reduction of broadband pressure fluctuations.
