Summary

 
Direct sliding mode control of instantaneous moment for switched reluctance machine in motoring mode is considered. When the instantaneous moment is controlled by shaping the moment profiles for each phase of the switched reluctance motor (SRM), fluctuations of electromagnetic moment on the SRM shaft are observed due to variations in phase inductance and motor parameters. This problem is suggested to be solved by an improved algorithm of direct instantaneous moment control in sliding mode taking into account the motor variables. This algorithm improves electric motor characteristics. The efficiency of the suggested control algorithm is confirmed by mathematical model simulations in MATLAB.
