Object and purpose of research.This paper discusses uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) developed by TSNII SET for marine power systems. The purpose of the study is to compare the results of UPS developments and outline the directions of their further improvement.
Subject matter and methodsThe study included analysis and computer-based simulation of electromagnetic and heat processes in the UPS units developed by TSNII SET for marine power systems
Main results.Comparative assessment of performance parameters for developed UPS units. Development of calculation procedures and computer-based models for UPS. Demonstration of the ways for further improvement of UPS technology for marine power systems
Conclusion.This study identifies possible ways of further improvement in UPS technology, as well as discusses how to speed up the introduction of UPS units to marine power systems.
