Summary

 
This paper discusses startup parameters of marine refrigerator drive at unequal loading torque and different inertia moduli of flywheel. Mathcad simulation package was used to develop a model for determination of startup parameters for operation of piston compressor’s electric drive. This model can be used to assess performance parameters of electric drives for marine compressor, including calculation of flywheel inertia parameters ensuring the shortest startup time of piston compressor and maximum vibration damping in the process of its operation.
