Summary

 
Object and purpose of research. Vibration studies of perforated plate in “sliding” flow. The opening in the plate was symmetric along the flow direction and asymmetric in the transverse direction
Subject matter and methods.Vibration spectra measurements on the plate with gradually increasing width of its opening
Main results. Determination of inception conditions for intense vibration peaks (self-vibrations) of the plate in the flow depending on plate perforation width.
Conclusion. It has been established that increase in perforation width brings about additional intense peaks in plate vibration spectra, including the frequencies different from Strouchal ones.
