The paper provides research results for the effect of concentrated cargo upon frequency and levels of the lowest resonant maximum in the vibration spectra of a uniform plate and a stiffened one. The assessments made as per simplest formulas show that if the cargo is installed near the geometric center of plates or between the neighbouring stiffeners of the cell, the reduction of these levels at the lowest resonant frequency depends on the vibration losses and mass ratio between the cargo and the plate (cell). Reduction of resonance frequency and the peak arising on it (as compared to the initial one) depends on the latter of the two factors mentioned above. The range of cargo masses within which the installed cargo might increase the levels of displaced resonant maximum as compared to the initial one has been determined experimentally. This increase is eliminated if the cargo is installed not directly on the plate (cell) but on a bedding made of vibration-absorbing material.
