The paper provides the results of an experimental study on hydrodynamic specifics of hubless propellers which can be used as parts of RIM propulsors. The paper investigated the velocity field behind and between the blade tips of a hubless propeller and compared experimental hydrodynamic parameters for hub and hubless propellers (of similar geometry) versus both each other and calculation results.
