Summary |
The paper provides novel model test data for an ACV climbing the sloping shore. It describes the newly developed procedure of tests involving the specially manufactured model of shore with different slope angles. It also provides an algorithm for test data processing that allows linking the instantaneous values recorded on the towing carriage moving steadily along the test tank, and the position of model with respect to the beginning of the slope. This allowed determination of model parameters in three characteristic movement zones of the model climbing the slope. The study also included investigation of how the longitudinal balancing of the model, its movement speed and the shore slope angle affect the resistance to the model movement as well as its landing within each of the characteristic zones. |
