Summary

 
One of the ways to improve efficiency of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) is to use DC power. This paper discusses simulation of DC-to-DC converters for AUVs. The system for automatic frequency tuning was developed in Simulink package, with determination of its performance parameters, analysis of its operation and identification of its drawbacks, e.g. over-current at startup and voltage jumps at switching of converter operation mode. Also, the study has identified the ways to improve the transient process.
