Summary

 
Object and purpose of research. The paper studies mechanical rubber articles having inner cavities. The study purpose consists in studying specifics of deep deformation under external loading.
Subject matter and methods.Rubbers, polyurethanes, rubber resins are studied. Hyperelasticity problem-solving procedures based on a concept of deformation energy density function are used
Main results. The nonlinear deformation process was studied up to the complete inner cavity collapsing. At that effects of local buckling of the zone adjoining to the considered cavity were revealed
Conclusion. An effective scheme for evaluation and verification of values of Mooney elastic constants for the used materials was developed. Nonlinear calculations of three-dimensional articles with cavities were performed at considerable cavity shapes variation. Accompanying effects related to material local buckling in the areas adjoining to the cavities were studied.
