Summary |
The paper suggests an efficient procedure to determine critical speed of heat carrier flowing around a fragment of a heat exchanger tube bundle with specified design parameters. This procedure is based on analysis of motion equation for a multi-component system. It applies a vortex method – method of viscous vortex elements – to numerically simulate the flow around cross-section of multi-member structures at question and to construct the interaction matrix. Obtain results can be applied not only in design of modern heat exchanging equipment to be installed on power-consuming units and systems, e.g. nuclear ice-breakers and submarines, but also in operation analysis of existing installations. |
