Summary

 
In recent years, the new risk theory of shipbuilding process has begun to find popularity instead of redundancy method. It takes into account that nothing can be done absolutely reliable, but there is a need to know the probability of an accident and ability to predict damage. The procedure of this method takes place in two stages: qualitative and quantitative risk assessment. After determining the level of risk, the stage of risk management begins. The use of the apparatus of the theory of risk makes it possible to optimize the management of the life cycle of technical systems when creating objects of marine technology.
