Summary

 
Ice loads on propellers are investigated and specified to ensure their operational robustness and improved performance of propulsion systems of ice-going vessels. An updated method is developed for specification of ice loads, design and structural analysis of icebreaker propellers to regulate safe operating modes based on propeller strength requirements.
