His research efforts are mostly focused on the improvement of nuclear power plants for advanced marine engineering systems and justification of their safety. His findings were used to justify nuclear and radiation safety of multi-purpose nuclear icebreaker (Project 22220), floating nuclear power plant Akademik Lomonosov and nuclear leader icebreaker (Project 10510).
