Summary

 
Object and purpose of research.This paper discusses nuclear-powered submarines. The purpose is to develop a very efficient, advanced construction technology for nuclear subs.
Subject matter and methodsConventional technology of nuclear submarine construction: flowline-positional method.
Main results.
The paper suggests a promising positional assembling technology based on the experience of nuclear sub assembling of large modules with precise geometry. Conclusion.The positional assembling technology will offer at least 20 % gain in the man-hours required for construction of a serially produced submarine, as well as 12–15 months shorter construction time.
