Summary

 
reluctance motor (SRM) of 8/6 configuration (8 stator poles and 6 rotor poles) is considered. SRM features strong electromagnetic moment fluctuations because of the moment nonlinearities at the motor shaft. For eliminating strong fluctuations in SRM electromagnetic moment it i s suggested to implement the algorithm of direct moment control similar to the direct moment control algorithm used in induction motors. The direct moment control algorithm was simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
