Summary |
Object and purpose of research. Analysis of variable-frequency drive operation affected by voltage dip in power grid. Investigation of relationship between specific capacity of DC link capacitor and drive’s power load.
Subject matter and methods. Two methods for estimation of allowable grid power interruption time are considered to plot the curve of drive resistance to voltage dips. The study is performed using mathematical and computer simulation tools. Main results. It is shown that the active power balance equation solved on the assumption of invariable invertor current consumption provides minimum error within 6 % of the computer simulation data. Conclusion. The model of electric drive processes at coasting discussed in the paper can be recommended for the drive control system to automatically vary the resistance curve parameters depending on the drive operating mode. |
