The paper considers issues related to experimental verification of RELAP5/MOD3 software for analysis of accidental thermo-hydraulic processes in АBV-6 type reactor designed for 6 to 12 MW power generation floaters. Results of experimental and analytical (using RELAP5/MOD3 software) investigations of thermo-hydraulic processes associated with primary loop depressurization using a model of integral natural-circulation PWR reactor. Experiments gave full qualitative and satisfactory quantitative agreement with the computations, and, therefore, RELAP5/MOD3 software is proved to be valid for the analysis of АBV-6 reactor primary loop depressurization accidents.
