Summary |
Object and purpose of research. The hydrodynamic wake arising behind hull appendages in way of propeller is investigated in an effort to eliminate flow non-uniformity. Subject matter and methods. Experimental and laboratory data as well as full-scale test results along with computational results are considered. Main results. The suggested method can be used to straighten the flow in way of propeller. Conclusion. The obtained results can be used in the design of various ship types with stringent acoustic, hull vibration and sub-cavitation speed requirements. |
