Summary

 
Object and purpose of research. Development of a method to quantify redundancy in potential operating modes of ship’s nuclear steam generating plant under various service conditions.
Subject matter and methods. Method to quantify redundancy in potential operating modes of complex engineering systems, power (global) critical heat flux theory.
Main results. Method for quantitative estimation of redundancy in potential operating modes of ship’s nuclear steam generating plant was developed to enable adequate appraisal of its functional status in specific operating conditions.
Conclusion. The developed method was used to define functional envelope of steam generating plant under various service conditions.
