Summary

Object and purpose of research. Development of a method for modelling accident sequences to refine the methodological tools of Systems Safety & Risk Assessment Software (BARS) used in safety analysis of ship nuclear powerplants.
Subject matter and methods. Logical & probabilistic methods based on fault trees/event trees, general logical& probabilistic method and hybrid probabilistic/deterministic method based on functional integrity schemes.
Main results. Method for modelling accident sequences based on functional integrity schemes.
Conclusion. The method is believed to enable improvement of the hybrid probabilistic/deterministic method for modelling accident sequences and prediction of final fate probabilities; enhanced commonality in approaching development of logical & probabilistic safety models using fault trees/event trees and functional integrity schemes; robust probability safety analysis of ship nuclear powerplants using BARS software.
