Summary |
The object of investigation is a load-carrying capacity of compressed sandwich structures made of polymer composite materials. The models of finite element method were used as a research tool. The numerical algorithms enabling determination of ultimate compressive loads with regard for physical and geometrical nonlinearity were developed. The influence of core material properties on buckling modes and ultimate loads was studied. The results of the work are compared with the results obtained by analytical solutions. |
