Summary

 
The purpose of this paper is to provide recommendations for development of grillage structure numerical model ensuring correct estimation of its ultimate bearing capacity under ice loads. The results of numerical model verification are given based on the comparison between calculation and full-scale experiment. The authors investigated rational design of indenter ensuring experimental simulation of nearly uniform distribution of high pressures on test structure surface.
