Summary

 
Spatial simulation of flow around the bow immersing in the wave is achieved by combining the two plane hydrodynamic model as per the Wagner – Povitsky approach and the Lotov approach improved by the authors. The newly developed calculation model is tailored for ANSYS. The module of this software simulating the loads is based on parametric tabular representation of unsteady slamming loads. Parametric tables of impact pressures are compiled in APDL-ANSYS language for each element suffering the load. Calculation results give a description to physical specifics of hull plating and members straining due to slamming.
