The paper discusses the peculiarities of mechanical transverse 3D waves. The superposition of two harmonic transverse circularly polarized waves with similar frequencies was found to be accompanied by the beats, i.e. by the oscillations with periodically changing amplitudes. The beating occurs as a series of adjoining space domains, axially symmetric with respect to wave direction and having the oscillating points of medium on their surface. The changes in kinetic energy of these oscillating points in the wave direction were found to be periodical, with minimums at nodes and maximums at antinodes. The peculiarities of the trajectory and the character of kinetic energy changes along it show that steady flow of material particles at wave profile will have wave properties. In certain conditions, the waves with fixed frequency of antinodes will transfer the energy by the quanta in proportion to this frequency. In other words, the mechanical spatial transverse waves studied in this investigation have the peculiarities typical for the processes studied by quantum mechanics.
