Mathematical model structure has been developed for maneuverability of trimaran fitted with “Arneson” drive. Necessary hydrodynamic characteristics are defined with the help of model tests in the rotating arm basin. The effect of drift and roll angles, gyration radius on hydrodynamic characteristics has been fully studied. Calculations were made for trimaran maneuverability with its arrangement being tested in the high-speed sea-keeping basin. It is efficient with high relative speed Fn∇>6,0. It was found that trimaran is course stable, and its transverse stability increases with speed. The ship possesses good turning ability: gyration diameters are equal to 6-7 hull lengths.
