The paper suggests a new design of synchronous reactive machine different from the classic one by structural specifics of its rotor. It provides mathematical description of the synchronous machine with anisotropic magnetoconductance of rotor, as well as the relationship for the electromagnetic moment of the electromechanical converter suggested. It also gives a sketch of an experimental rotor for the synchronous machine with anisotropic magnetoconductance and the results of physical modeling results for the machine’s demonstrator. Finally, the paper compares suggested electric machines versus other types of electric machines powered by alternating current.
