Summary

 
A fender featured by shock-absorbing as well as damping properties has been developed. This fender provides the reduction of impact loads induced by moored vessel and acting on berthing facility and vessel’s hull itself. The paper suggests the procedure for calculation of dynamics of interaction between the fender and moored vessel. It also provides a numerical calculation of developed fender utilization efficiency.
