The paper investigates the use of STAR-CCM+ engineering analysis package for determination of hydrodynamic parameters for a collapsing vapour bubble. It justifies selection of models for current and determines parameters for calculation meshes. The properties of current are calculated for the cases of wall and no-wall near the bubble. The paper also compares calculation results versus corresponding test data and examines the effect of vapour condensation from the bubble into surrounding fluid. For the case with wall, calculations are performed for spherical and buckled bubble. The paper also provides an approximate calculation of time relationship for the pressure acting on the wall.
